'Beautiful and Damned: Planning and the Harbour City.' Sunday 13 November, Queens Street Village.
This Sunday, some of Sydney’s most esteemed architects will come together in an engaging panel discussion as part of the second annual Woollahra Festival of Arts and Ideas.
The talk, ‘Beautiful and Damned: Planning and the Harbour City’ features a panel of leading Australian architects including Chris Boss, Phillip Thalis, Helen Lochhead and Chris Johnson, lead in discussion by President of the Australian Institute of Architects Brian Zulaikha.
One of Zulaikha’s key interests is environmentally sustainable design, as well as the fusion of art and architecture. The founding member of Tonkin Kulaikha Architects, he has worked on award-winning projects including the Overseas Passenger Terminal, Glasshouse, CarraigeWorks, Paddington Reservoir and the Hyde Park Barracks Museum.
The four-day festival runs from November 10 to November 13 and is set to bring together a wealth of ideas from Australia’s leading architecture identities and enthusiasts, sharing knowledge and inspiration with the public in an intimate way.
‘Beautiful and Damned’ takes place at the NCJWA in the Queen Street Village precinct this Sunday 13 November at 10.30 am. Bookings are essential, and tickets can be purchased for $10 online.
